Development of a software environment for parallel systems

Within the Subproject, an integrative software environment for parallel systems shall be created, which allows coupling of Molecular Dynamics and continuum mechanical approaches.

Through this it will be possible to tackle the problem of the transition area from nano to micro more efficiently than with today's commonly used Molecular Dynamics tools and more precisely than with pure continuum based methods.
