Scientist of the SFB 716 awarded

A scientist of the SFB 716 achieved the Outstanding Paper Award 2018 of Elsevier's Journal "Computers and Geotechnics". The award is given to one of the best scientific paper publications out of five on the field of computer-aided geotechnical engineering.

Responsible for the article "A bonded-particle model for cemented sand" are Martin Obermayr, Klaus Dressler, Christos Vrettos and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Prof. E.h. Peter Eberhard from the Institute of Engineering and Computational Mechanics of the University of Stuttgart. He is part of the subproject A.5 "Simulation of Abrasive Damage Processes usung Hybrid Smoothed Particle" of the SFB which is already closed successfully.
